Make Mobile Number Callable in Blog OR in e-mail

Hemant Verma - 2:35 PM
When anyone want to send your mobile number in mail or facebook etc. and you want to call on that number so you will have to copy that number on a paper and then you dial that number in your mobile phone but there is also a one method that you can easily send your number in mail, and whenever you want to call them, probably you copy that number and paste in the dialer but you can easily enable that number callable in your website also on your blog also.

Adding Code for Telephone Links

You add the code as text to the location you want the link to appear. You just need a single line of code like this:
<a href="tel:123-456-7890">123-456-7890</a>
The first part of this line of code tells where to point the link. Href=tel: creates a telephone link. The number of course gives it the number to link to.
The second part is the visual portion of the link. It doesn’t have to match the link. In other words, the visual portion can be numbers or letters you want displayed. You can have it say a message instead, such as “Click to Call”. For example, if you want it to display a message instead of the number, your code would look like this:
<a href="tel:123-456-7890">CLICK TO CALL</a>
Your visitors will see the message but when they click on it they are sent to the dialing screen of their phones with your number already inserted and ready for them to hit the call button.

How to Compress Video with VLC Player : Video Tutorial

Hemant Verma - 9:40 PM
VLC is one of the best and reliable video player for Windows and other platforms also. VLC media player fan then you could do use it as a video cutting tool too.

One more advantage of using VLC is that people who use other operating systems like Ubuntu, Fedora or Mac and hence cannot use the Windows Movie Maker, can also use the cross-platform VLC to cut out video clips.

Steps to Convert and Compress using VLC Media Player:

1) Open the VLC Media Player, select Media in Tool bar and in that click on ‘Convert/ Save’ option or you can use short cut key Ctrl + R

2) Select the file which you want to convert and click on Convert/Save

3) Select the Destination folder where you want to save the converted file, while saving the file name save with the extension (suppose if you want to save file name as abc converting into MP4 format then give name file name as abc.mp4 not only abc )

4) Even you can select or change the Audio or Video codec by using the Edit Selected Profile option present next to profile selection drop down menu

5) Click on Start, within few minutes you will get the converted file in specified format and you will see that size of file will be reduced.

How to Use Your Laptop as a Wi-Fi Hotspot

Hemant Verma - 10:49 AM
Have you ever been in a situation where you have no W-Fi router, just one network cable and five people who need to use the Internet? Or maybe you have a 3G dongle that works with your laptop, but leaves your Wi-Fi-only tablet offline. Sounds familiar? It would certainly be handy to share the Internet connection amongst all users and devices without a router, right?

Or maybe this scenario will ring a bell. Many hotels offer wired Internet access for free, but charge you for Wi-Fi and/ or for using the Internet on more than one device. So should you just pay the crazy amount they ask for? Not necessarily.
You can share your laptop or desktop Internet connection via Wi-Fi to other devices, and for the most part, it's quite simple. Mac users face no trouble at all, as setting up Internet sharing in OS X is just a couple of click away, but for Windows users the process can be a little bit more laboured. The built-in options don't always cut it due to the complicated setup and reliability problems.
Internet sharing on Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 8.1
Thankfully, there are quite a few apps that let you use your machine as a Wi-Fi hotspot. Before you use any of these apps, you may want to check the steps onMicrosoft's site to see Windows' built-in Internet sharing and see if you have better luck than we did. We do recommend that you skip that and use a third-party app instead, since the experience is usually much better.
We tested some popular apps that let you do this - Connectify and Virtual Router Plus. The latter didn't work very well for us. Our anti-virus flagged it as a threat and during installation it tried to make us install unwanted software.
We didn't have the same issues with Connectify. It is a reliable app for turning your computer into a Wi-Fi hotspot. Before you proceed, know that you will need a Windows PC with a Wi-Fi adapter (or built-in Wi-Fi) to make this work. If your computer does not have Wi-Fi, then you can buy one that connects via USB, such as this one.

Here are the steps to setup your Windows machine was a Wi-Fi hotspot:

1. Download Connectify and install it. The installation is pretty straightforward and when installation is complete, restart your computer.
2. After restarting the computer, check whether it is connected to the Internet. If it is, run the Connectify Hotspot app.
3. You'll see two tabs in the app - Settings and Clients. In the Settings tab, under "Create a..." click Wi-Fi Hotspot.
4. Under Internet to Share, you'll see a drop-down menu. Expand it and select the connection you want to share. We tested this app with a wired and a wireless connection and found that it worked perfectly with both.
5. Under that, you'll see some more options. Add a Wi-Fi password. Click Start Hotspot.
That's all you need to do. Now other devices will detect a Wi-Fi network labelled Connectify-me. Key in the password and you're good to go.

Connectify is a paid app, but it has a stripped down free version. You can create a hotspot with the free version, but the main limitation is that it automatically disconnects every 30 minutes and shows pop-ups asking you to buy the pro version. You'll have to re-enable the hotspot manually to start using it again.
The Pro version has more features and costs $25 (Rs. 1,550) for a year and $40 (Rs. 2,450) for a full licence. Apart from unlimited hotspot uptime, you get features such as custom hotspot naming, the ability to share Internet from 3G and 4G networks (for sharing USB Internet dongles), and advanced firewall controls (choose which devices can access Internet and personal files on your LAN).

Internet Sharing on OS X

Mac users have it a lot easier. Here's how to share your Mac's Internet connection.
1. Open System Preferences > Sharing > check Internet Sharing on the left.
2. On the right, expand the drop-down menu next to Share your connection from: and select the connection you want to share. You can share Internet connections from Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or even iPhone USB.
Typically, you'd want to select Ethernet, if you are using a wired Internet connection iMac, Mac Pro, or MacBook Pro. If you are using an external Ethernet adapter with a MacBook Air, you'll want to select USB Ethernet or Thunderbolt Ethernet, depending upon the kind of dongle you are using (usually it's USB).
3. Just below that, there's a box next to To computers using: where you should check the box next to Wi-Fi.
4. Click the Wi-Fi Options button below the box. Pick a Network NameSecurity Typeand enter the password twice in fields named Password and Verify. We strongly recommend you choose a password, instead of leaving the Security option has None. You can leave Channel as the default value unless you know what you are doing. Click OK.
5. If the connection is active, you'll see a green icon and text Internet Sharing: On under System Preferences.

That's all. You'll be able to use the Internet on other devices now by connecting to the network you specified under Network Name.
That is how you turn your PC or Mac into a Wi-Fi hotspot. Are there any other ways that you used to get this done?

How can You Choose a Best SEM Company to Optimize Your Site?

Hemant Verma - 7:31 PM
Making your own site and blog is very easy but to optimize that blog is some where tough work but it's nt that tough that we thinks about that because if we use right and correct keywords then we can easily optimize our blog in just few days, and it's not that tough :) but some where many big companies wants to hire some SEO professionals to show their sites top on the search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo etc. and that's why they hires some SEO professionals OR contact to any SEM company means Search Engine Marketing company, but it's too difficult to find a perfect SEM company for your tasks, because their prices and other services is always depend on the work and their results e.g. as we listen about the top online shopping site they create their databases and launch their sites and when we search about that name then their searching results comes on the top of the search engines because they hires some professionals and Marking experts. So, if you want to OR thinks to hire a SEM company then you should consider first some following points and tips.

First Let You Knows that When to Use Paid SEM

Sooner or later you see that free SEO alone doesn't deliver the results you want. This feeling is especially strong after another update to the search algorithm, such as the Panda update, when your sites that used to rank well for your keywords get buried down the search results. At times like these, almost everybody will turn to PPC and paid search. However, even when the times aren't drastic, SEM is a good alternative. For instance, it works best in the following cases:

1. For Competitive Keywords:

Competitive keywords are too hard to conquer organically. If you have in mind how much time free SEO takes, for competitive keywords PPC is much cheaper than organic. Of course, if you start with Adwords and $3-4 dollar clicks, the costs will be huge but if you try competitive keywords on some of the
Adwords alternatives first, most likely you will achieve better results for a fraction of the money you would spend on Adwords.

2. When You Need Lots of Traffic in a Short Period of Time

Free SEO takes lots time to see some effects. If you are under time constraints – i.e. you need traffic on some occasion, you will hardly want to wait. For instance, if you sell Christmas stuff and your keywords are too competitive, you might end ranking well organically but it's no use to rank well for Christmas-related keywords in February, for example. Therefore, in November and December you might want to drive huge traffic with PPC. If you want to start SEO at that time, it's just in time for next year's Christmas, so basically in this case PPC is your only alternative.

3. For Better Exposure:

Most experts think that it is Top 5, or even Top 3 for a particular keyword that matters. In other words, if you manage to make it to the 7th or 10th place, for example, this won't be as good as getting into the Top 5 and still you will have invested a lot in free SEO. If you want to get better exposure, you need to consider paid listings. Paid listings for a given keyword are displayed above organic ones, so you are getting more exposure, but you also must have in mind that generally users are more likely to click on organic results than on paid listings because they feel organic listings are more authentic.

4. To Find Keywords That Convert Well:

Paid SEM is a great source of keyword ideas for free SEO. After you launch a campaign, you will see that some of the competitive keywords you thought would do great for you, if you ranked well for them in Google, actually don't convert. It's quite logical that if a keyword is competitive, this doesn't necessarily mean it will convert well for you and it's best not to learn it the hard way.
The wisest you can do is spend some dollars on a PPC campaign and see if this particular keyword converts well. If it does, then increase your free SEO efforts and your PPC budget for it.

Note: Free SEO and paid SEM complement each other brilliantly. Each of them has its strengths and weaknesses and for best results, the winning approach is to use both. You just need to experiment a bit till you find the right combination for you and do ongoing monitoring of the effect but once you find the perfect formula, you won't believe how much traffic you'll be getting.

How to Choose SEM Company?

It is stretching the truth to say that there are no reliable SEO companies. Yes, there might be many scam SEO companies but if you know what to look for when selecting a SEO company, the risk of hiring fraudsters is reduced. It is much better if you yourself have a substantial knowledge of SEO and can easily decide if they promise you the starts in the sky or their goals are realistic but even if you are not quite familiar with SEO practices, here is a list with some points to watch for when choosing a SEO company:

Do they promise to guarantee #1 ranking? If they do, you have a serious reason to doubt their competencies. As the Google SEO selection tips say, no one can guarantee a #1 ranking in Google. This is true even for not so competitive words.

  • Get recommendation from friends, business partners, etc. Word of mouth is very important for the credibility of a company.
  • Ask in forums. There are many reputable Web master forums, so if you can't find somebody who can recommend you a SEO company right away, consider asking in Web master forums. However, beware that not all forum posters are honest people, so take their opinion (no matter if positive or negative) with a grain of salt. Forums are not such a reliable source of information as in-person contact.
  • Google the company name. If the company is a known fraudster, chances are that you will find a lot of information about it on the Web. However, lack of negative publicity does not mean automatically that the company is great, nor do some subjective negative opinions mean that the company is a scammer.
  • Ask for examples of sites they have optimized. Happy customers are the best form of promotion, so feel free to ask your potential SEO company about sites they have optimized and references from clients. If you get a rejection because of confidentiality reasons, this must ring a bell about the credibility of the SEO company - former customers are not supposed to be a secret.
  • Check the PR of their own site. If they can't optimize their site well enough to get a good PR (over 4-5), they are not worth hiring.
  • Ask them what keywords their site ranks for. Similarly to the page rank factor, if they don't rank well for the keywords of their choice, they are hardly as professional as they are pretending to be.
  • Do they use automated submissions? If they do, stay away from them. Automated submissions can get you banned from search engines.
  • Do they use any black hat SEO tricks? You need to know in advance what black hat SEO is in order to judge them, so getting familiar with the most important black hat SEO tricks is worth before you go and start cross-examining them.
  • Where do they collect backlinks from? Backlinks are very, very important for SEO success but if they come from link farms and other similar sites, this can cause a lot of trouble. So, make sure the SEO firm collects links from reputable sites only.
  • Get some personal impressions, if possible. Gut instinct and impressions from meetings are also a way to judge a company, though sometimes it is not difficult to get mislead, so use this approach with caution.
  • High price does not guarantee high quality. If you are eager to pay more, this does not mean that you will get more. Just because a firm costs more DOES NOT make them better SEO's. There are many reasons for high prices and high quality is only one of them. For instance, the company might work inefficiently and this is the reason for their ridiculously high costs, not the quality of their work.
  • Cheap is more expensive. This is also true. If you think you can pay peanuts for a professional SEO campaign, then you need to think again. Professional SEO companies offer realistic prices.
  • Use tricky questions. Using tricky questions is a double-edged sword, especially if you are not an expert. But there are several easy questions that can help you.
  • For instance, you might ask them how many search engines they will automatically submit your site to. If they are scammers, they will try to impress you with big numbers. But in this case, the best answer would be "no automatic submissions".
  • Another tricky question is to ask them if they will place in you top 10 for some competitive keywords of your choice. The trap here is that it is them, not you, who chooses the words that are best for your site. It is not that probable that they will choose exactly the same words as you suggest, so if they tell you that you just give them the words and they push you to the top, tell them “Goodbye”.
  • Do they offer subscription services? SEO is a constant process and if you want to rank well and keep on like that, efforts are necessary all the time. Because of this, it is better to select a company that includes post-optimization maintenance, than get a company that pushes your site to the top and then leaves you in the wild on your own. You may even want to see if they offer SEO Pay Per Click services to help you maintain an ongoing PPC campaign to further optimize your site's online marketing.

We tried to mention some of the most important issues in selecting a SEO company. Of course, there are many other factors to consider and each case is different, so give it some thought, before you sign the contract for hiring a SEO company.

How to Build Backlinks Without Spamming the Web

Hemant Verma - 3:22 PM
Brands’ all and sundry, have a standalone website dedicated to their business. An elucidatory domain name, a reliable web host and inspiring website design – all these are carefully addressed in their endeavor of creating an impressive online representation of their brand. But when it comes to creating an online reputation, more often than not companies fail to recognize the importance of backlinking. Even those who fully realize how a good page rank can be beneficial, are scrambling to find ways to build quality backlinks.

The following sermon lists 8 simplest and most effective ways to build links, without having to assail the web with Spam-like links:

1. Take a Cue from Competitor

Keeping an eye on the competition never fails, backlinking endeavors are no different. So, what does competitor analysis mean with respect to building backlinks? It essentially means evaluating how your client is approaching the process and in their exercise to build the links, how are they spreading their wings. It is important to know at which places are the placing the links back to their websites and it would serve you well to follow suit. Buy replicate their strategy will save you a lot of time and give you a greater insight, without having to indulge in extensive research. If you have lesser people working for you than your competitor, this practice is going to reap rich benefits.
But, even with the professionals you have working for you, do perform a research for the portals and websites on the Internet that are relevant to your website’s genre, but have been missing from your competitor’s list. By going a step ahead than your competitor, you are pitching yourself for better results.

2. Let Content Take You Through

One thing that will never fail is writing more and more content. Publishing content in high doses on your website is never going to invite any penalties from any source unless it is original and relevant to your site. Google is known to favor websites that keep on positing new content more frequently, rather than once in a while. If you can post 3 or more articles per week, you are going to get reasonable benefits in terms of the search engine indexing.

The content you post should not only be relevant, but it also has to be compelling enough to make visitors stay on your website. it is a part of building a positive reputation for your website so that the visitors talk about it among their friends and online social circles. When your content intrigues your visitors, they share it on their social media profiles, which means more and more people read it. As you build your reputation through quality content, other websites will start noticing you and will wish to link to your site too. And never ignore the SEO side of things. Whenever you are publishing a post, make absolutely certain that you use Title Tags, meta keywords, meta descriptions, etc. in order to rank higher in search engines.

3. Guest Blogging on Relevant Websites

This was probably the first suggestion you were looking for. Whilst the recent updates of the likes of Panda have suggested that Google is penalizing websites that are involved in guest posting, it would be an awfully wrong deduction to make. Google is not penalizing the practice of guest posting, it is coming down hard on the websites that have their backlinks scattered all over the Internet by the means of guest posting on even spammy sites.

There is no dearth of SEO professionals who would post the same content on 30 different websites in their quest to build backlinks. This however has only negative impact on their sites, and when you are involved in the guest posting exercise, make sure you do not spam the web. Only post content on sites that are relevant to what your website is all about and which can give you reasonably good link juice on the account of it having a quality PR. Contact the website administrators of similar blogs and write posts for them, with a link back to your site that would most probably be included in the author’s bio. Contacting reputable bloggers and authors also has benefits other than back linking.

4. Build Links through Social Media

Social media can be an essential part of your link building exercise. Get your site’s pages made on the major platforms like Google Plus, Facebook, Twitter, etc to get maximum traction out of social media. When you create a profile for your site on these sites, you also ensure the traffic to the site experiences a considerable spike. While social media does not offer dofollow links, the nofollow links posted on them have their own benefits. At least, you aren’t penalized by Google if you create far too many Nofollow links.

5. Web 2.0 Site – Ever Heard of it?

What’s a not so known mean to build links that are in sync with the search engine crawlers, Web 2.0 sites are those sites that are embedded with social networking components. These types of website contain Joining a web 2.0 site is an excellent method of developing search engine friendly links. If you are not familiar with the name, web 2.0 is the term used to describe websites that have a social networking component to them. Sites like Quora, Hubpages, etc. facilitate writing articles on them while including multiple backlinks to your site. These sites get some rich traffic and thus prove to be an essential source of traffic for your site as well.

Also, for the fact that they have very high page ranks, you get desirable link juice from them. All you need to ensure is that you don’t simply copy the article that already exists on your site and paste it as it is on these sites, even if they allow it. Google sees through it and all your exercise counts for nothing. Thus, it is recommended that you write fresh content for them that will be liked by their audience who can be directed to yours by the means of hyperlinks you include in the articles.

6. Commenting on Dofollow and Nofollow Websites

There are websites that offer dofollow links on their comment boxes, and there are websites that don’t want to take any risk of being spammed. However, both benefit you in their own right. While the Dofollow links will obviously help you create link juice and boost your page ranking prospects, the Nofollow comments on highly popular websites with heavy traffic can send some additional traffic to your blog as well. If you are running an entertainment blog, you may find that majority of the websites centered on entertainment articles use the Disqus commenting method, which means you are not getting any dofollow links. But, since these are popular sites, they attract many readers who might also end up clicking on a link in the comment box.

7. Article Submission Sites

Another method to get people know about your brand, without dofollow links, is writing articles for article submission sites such as ezinearticles, goarticles, sooperarticles, etc. All these websites are extremely popular and enjoy massive readership. And thereby, they hold great prospect of sending top of the funnel traffic to your site.

8. Testimonials

This is one incredibly useful approach to build backlinks. Write testimonials for your business partners and companies you have been a client of, and include the link to your website in the testimonial. When you write testimonials for websites that already enjoy a good page rank, you get to enjoy the leverage you get from there and you manage to get a good link juice as well. Write the testimonials in a way that you include the keywords and link them back to the corresponding page of your website.

Backlinking is safe unless you start overplotting and spamming the web. Follow the right approach of building backlinks and you will go a long way in influencing the search engine rankings.
